Compagnie Croche
SINCE 2005, AROUND TEN ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS
Who are we?
"Croche": crooked, twisted, not within the norm, quirkiness, not how it's supposed to be done…
La Compagnie Croche, founded in 2005 on the initiative of Josselin Disdier, creates shows where circus performance is a language carrying meaning and emotion.
La Cie brings together an artistic team from the worlds of circus, theater, dance, music, visual arts, magic, music... It researches, experiments, and questions itself around the circus arts. It multiplies artistic encounters and mixes to create and distribute shows or stage experiences...
In parallel with the shows, it runs circus workshops, hip-hop dance workshops, and workshops linked to its creations.
The Compagnie Croche wishes to get as close as possible to its public, its creations are autonomous and are performed in schools, village halls, or other places not adapted to shows....
The Compagnie Croche also operates within companies where it organizes team building, and training seminars (co-animated with Vivance formations).
We also develop circus shows and interventions in workplaces. And we host and create events adapted to the needs of the company.

BIOGRAPHY
Josselin DISDIER trained at the National Circus School of Châtellerault before continuing his studies at the National Circus School of Montreal.
A circus maker, he created D.A.P., an experimental piece centred on water bottles, followed by Madame Mira, a fortune teller with magical powers, and Sensitive Blades, a knife-throwing duet where circus meets theatre and dance.
Alongside his own creations, he has worked with Cirque Baroque, Cirque du Soleil and Compagnie Éclats d’Épices. He has also collaborated with musicians including Cabadzi (Treizième à table), Elise Dabrowski, Alexandra Grimal, Louis Sclavis and Edward Perraud, as well as visual artists Sandrine Nicolleta (Slubfurt Project) and Damir Očko (Palais de Tokyo).
For several years, he has been exploring the relationship between dance and tightrope walking through his artistic research. He also performs, improvises and appears in Compagnie Croche’s latest production, Being the Wolf.
