ZIG-ZAG

ZIG-ZAG

Zig-Zag steps out of line, moves away from the thread, and explores what is usually hidden, erased, or softened… opening up new paths.

Usually, what a tightrope walker shows us is a carefully crafted, rehearsed, and fully developed act. Zig-Zag steps out of line, moves away from the wire, and explores what is usually hidden, erased, or softened… opening up new possibilities.

There is the wire, and the soundscape created from amplified sounds produced through contact with it. There is the tightrope walker—his body, movements, and sensitivity. And there is an improvising double bassist.

A performance of Zig-Zag is a unique encounter between these three worlds.
