TINKUI

TINKUI

“Cosmic fantasy for musician and circus artist”

In the Quechua language, the word Tinkuy describes the meeting of opposing forces that complement each other.

The show Tinkui is the subtle encounter of two whimsical characters, magnificent heroes of a burlesque and poetic mythology.

Tinkui is also an invitation to travel, an invitation to share.

In the beginning, there are these balls invading the stage.

Balls like so many planets to explore.

Balls like so many playgrounds to inhabit.

Everything is movement and stillness.

Everything appears, disappears, and transforms.

In the beginning there is also rain, wind, a blowing force.

Then, around a pipe, sound emerges, it sings, it grooves.

As if by magic, the balls start to play as well.

And what if everything were in everything?

In the end it looks like the Big Bang, and it may be a beginning…
