Hip-hop dance styles and fundamentals explored:
– Popping (standing dance known as “boogaloo”): wave, robot, mime
– Locking (standing dance): pointing, locking, wrist rolls, etc.
– Breakdance (floor work): top rock, up rock, footwork, 6-step, freezes, power moves, etc.
– Contact dance and improvisation with lifts and simple movements
– Basic body percussion to explore rhythm, sound, and percussive awareness
